Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy got the better of LIV Golf's pair, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau, in the first-ever PGA x LIV Showdown. The PGA Tour duo comfortably won all three stages of the eighteen-hole match at Shadow Creek Golf Club.
The PGA x LIV Showdown took place on Tuesday, December 17, at Shadow Creek Golf Club. The 18-hole, made-for-TV event was split into three stages, with each six-hole stretch being played in a different format. However, the LIV Golf team could only win one hole throughout the day.
In the first stage, played in a fourball format, the PGA Tour started strong by winning the first two holes. LIV Golf moved off zero after halving the third hole. However, the Scheffler-McIlroy duo sealed the first session by winning the fourth hole.
