On Tuesday, Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto opened up on his sacrifices to reach the NHL during the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast.
"I had no life from like 15 to 17 to 18 years old in the summers, like I wouldn't even hang out with my friends," Pinto said. "Like all I worried about was just kind of getting better at hockey.
It was kind of embarrassing. But now I look back on it, I don't think I'm here if I didn't do that. You know, you got to sacrifice some things at a young age if you want to make it to this level."
