"You want to win as many championships as possible": When Patrick Mahomes wanted to emulate Tom Brady's NFL career (Image Source: Getty)
Patrick Mahomes is a bona fide NFL legend and a certified future Hall of Famer. The Kansas City Chiefs QB has taken the league by storm since his debut as a starting quarterback. Within his first eight seasons—seven, to be precise, as he only played one game in 2017—he has won three Super Bowl rings and four AFC titles.
But this isn’t enough for Mahomes, who aspires to emulate the career trajectory of Tom Brady, widely regarded as the greatest of all time. Mahomes was interviewed by KCSP 610 Sports Radio in November 2020, where he shared significant details about his long-term career goals. He admitted to being influenced by Brady and Aaron Rodgers while growing up.
“You want to win as many championships as possible, and he's [Tom Brady] done that for his entire career and he's still playing great football on a great football team,” Mahomes said.
