Columbus Blue Jackets alternate captain Zach Werenski dropped yet another masterclass on Friday during the 6-2 win against the Boston Bruins. He matched a career-high with four assists on the night, three of them coming on the power play. It helped the Blue Jackets score three power-play goals for the first time in nearly four years.
Werenski’s fiancee, Odette Peters, was in attendance at the Nationwide Arena on the occasion and took to her Instagram stories to express her excitement. She posted a click of the large LED screen taken from the rinkside when Werenski was announced as the first star of the game.
“1st ⭐ and 4 🍎!!!”, she wrote in the caption.

The Jackets struck first in the opening period when Sean Monahan redirected a shot from Zach Werenski on the power play, making it 1-0. In the second period, Columbus managed to net four goals. Dmitri Voronkov scored twice, including a late-period power-play goal, while Kirill Marchenko and Monahan also found the back of the net.
